Women's Walk & Talk : Fri 09 Jan 18:00 |
|||||||
|
Dear Resident
Women working and living in East Northamptonshire can walk and talk with officers to share their thoughts on safety and how to bring about positive change.
How the scheme works
Walk & Talk is open to women aged 18 and above, and living or working in East Northamptonshire. It is for those who would like to go for a walk with an officer in their local area and discuss their views on women’s safety.
Those who take part in a Walk & Talk can share their views and experiences with officers as they walk through any areas they may feel vulnerable in. Patrols can take place at any location, including those where there is less footfall, traffic and light so officers can get a real sense of what their thoughts are.
The aim of Walk & Talk is to start a conversation between members of the public and officers so we can listen, respond to concerns, and take action.
How to apply
You can find and join Walk & Talk events across East Northamptonshire by visiting your local neighbourhood team page on the Northamptonshire Police Website, and looking under the 'Meetings and events' tab.
You can also suggest a location for a Walk & Talk location by visiting your local neighbourhood team page and using the 'Contact us' tab.
What to expect
The Walk and Talk will:
Everyone is welcome and it would be great to see you there. Please let us know if you plan to attend.
